The Drove Road

Drove Road Map
The region is linked by a drove road across bleak and wild moors to Silverwell about 140 miles to the south. This arduous and dangerous journey is undertaken by a few intrepid explorers, lone peddlers and the tough drovers who take the stocky red cattle of Rovanna to the Silverwell market. It takes 4 – 5 days to travel on foot over the Wilderland. It is known that there are a handful of bandits hiding out somewhere between Silverwell and Moorthan.
Other people wishing to journey tend to travel with the merchant caravans which go to Huntsford three times a year, firstly in the spring at fire festival time when they trade for the valued ironwood, and ore and gemstones which the winter spate rivers brought down from the mountains. At the mid-summer another caravan arrives, and after harvest time, the final caravan heads north, hoping to ply their trade at the Avandra (p21 PM) Festival just after harvest time. Rovannans take this opportunity to celebrate (anything) and buy items and unusual produce form the south and hear tales from other regions as well as sell their harvest.
