The Northlands – Angard

Few people travel beyond the Northern Range, and those that do rarely return to tell their tale. Little is known of the sandy expanses to the north and north east or how they came into being. Legends tell that this was once a fertile region but the reason why it turned to a sandy waste has been lost to time. Although it appears desert-like, Angard is bitterly cold, even in the height of summer except for around one month between Mœd and Weod.

On a clear day the towering red Mountain can just be seen from the eastern reaches of Rovanna. If children are misbehaving, parents threaten to send them to the Red Dragon in the mountain as a slave but this is just a story. Once in a while small warbands make their way south and raid borderland farms for livestock and produce.
